The Sci Fi Channel has renewed Battlestar Galactica for a third season. The continuing success of the revived cable and satellite series bodes well for the merchandise it has spawned including trading cards (from Rittenhouse), the DVD of Season One (now available from Universal), and action figures from Joyride Entertainment.
WizKids is planning to release a Battlestar Galactica Collectible Card Game in March 2006.
That’s great, but when am I going to be able to get a Galactica that I can hold in my hands? Figures are fine, but I want ships.
Battlestar is the best show the sci-fi channel has in its line up. I just hope they don’t season three in half.
