Film Masters’ newest remaster release is Roger Corman’s MONSTER FROM THE OCEAN FLOOR (1954), now available in a special collector’s edition 4K UHD and Blu-ray, and founder Phil Hopkins talks about how he went from film history into producing film restorations for physical media releases.

The response to putting out many of these releases is positive and encouraging, as well as incoming requests and suggestions for new films to release seems to show that there’s still a healthy audience for blu-ray releases for these cult classics, but also a strong market for sales of physical media.

We also wax nostalgic over archaic home video formats, how it had been easier to find obscure, art house and classic films on laserdisc in the 80s and 90s, as well as the fun that comes with attending midnight movies.
