Monte Yazzie, program director for the International Horror and Scifi Film Festival and all around horror enthusiast, joins Summer to discuss “Madres” and “The Manor”, the next two films in the Welcome to the Blumhouse series for 2021.

If you enjoyed both of these features, Monte has another list of suggestions of films similar in theme and commentary tone:

“Madres”: Rosemary’s Baby (1968), The Demon Seed (1977), The Brood (1979), Grace (2009), and Prevenge (2016) and Ginger Snaps (2001)

“The Manor”: The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014), Bubba Ho-Tep (2002),

Fran Bennett has passed away: the actor, educator and Star Trek: The Next Generation guest star was 84

A word of caution: Monte and I do go on for a bit, because the temptation of talking about so much new suspense and horror on TV is hard to pass up!
