Phobias segment directors Jess Varley and Chris von Hoffmann stop by to talk about their stories as part of the larger story being told in the anthology, their perspectives on horror movies, and more.

Jess Varley directed “Atelophobia” (the fear of not doing something right or the fear of not being good enough), a body horror short featuring Macy Gray. She also directed the interstitial “Outpost 37” segments that are the connecting thread between each of the phobia stories, and talks about working with the other directors to put together a cohesive final film.

Next, Chris von Hoffmann talks about directing “Ephibephobia” (the fear of youth or teenagers), rewriting the segment to streamline the story, shifting tones & story atmospheres, and more.
