Slice of SciFi #325: Interview with Jay Oliva (Director, “Green Lantern Emerald Knights”)

June 15, 2011 By Summer Brooks Leave a Comment

Today’s news: Shia LeBeouf reveals why Megan Fox left Transformers, and there are two new books about how artificial intelligences that aren’t here to destroy us.

Roddy Piper (Bolphunga) and director Jay Oliva
Today’s guest is Jay Oliva, director of the direct-to-video release Green Lantern: Emerald Knights.

Jay directed “Mogo Doesn’t Socialize,” which was written by Dave Gibbons and based on the Alan Moore-written comic that Gibbons originally illustrated. Hall of Fame professional wrestler “Rowdy” Roddy Piper provides the voice of Bolphunga, the key character in the segment. Jay also directed the “Laira” segment, which was written by Eddie Berganza and based on the story “What Price Honor?” originally penned by Ruben Diaz and Travis Charest.
