Will Superman “Kneel Before Zod” in Next Film?

October 5, 2010 By Michael Hickerson 3 Comments

With news that Zach Snyder will direct the next Superman film, news has started to leak out about who the Man of Steel could face as a villain.

We’ve heard everything from Doomsday to Darkseid, but the latest story from Snyder is that the Man of Steel will face someone he’s faced on the silver screen before–General Zod.

Zod, who appeared in the second installment, was originally and memorably played by actor Terrance Stamp. He’s also been featured on the “Smallville.”

Whether this project is a sequel to “Superman II” or a reboot of the entire universe isn’t yet clear.

The script is by David Goyer and the project is being overseen by Christopher Nolan. The big question is could the new film hope to recreate one of the greatest moments in film as shown below.

They’ll really have their work cut out for them getting someone as good as Terrance Stamp. He made a great Zod.
