John Carrigan, best known as Captain Kargh, Star Trek: Phase II’s resident Klingon nemesis, has just published a new book called, “The Other Side of Harry.” In his book, he tells the personal story of his life, beginning with his childhood in a family dealing with the challenges of his schizophrenic father and the impact mental illness can have on family and careers. “This is truly an incredible story,” said Executive Producer James Cawley, “We can all draw strength from John’s compassionate story of personal survival.”

John Carrigan offered the following message to Phase II fans:

Many of you know me as Kargh the Klingon and some of you know me as John the British actor. Well my friends I have just had a book published which tells the story about the incredible and sometimes terrible life my family and I had while I was growing up, and how Star Trek and a meeting with Gene Roddenberry was part of my salvation. Most of the money from the book is going to charity and I think my book will help some of you to get through your dark times (as I did) and fight the demons the past can leave with us, but please be warned that the book deals with strong issues and is not for children. Here is the link to the eBook. The paperback version is out this summer.
