William Shatner has been Emmy-nominated again for “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series” for his performance as Denny Crane on the popular dramedy “Boston Legal.” This will be the fourth year in a row that Bill has been so honored. He won the award twice — once for the role of Crane on “The Practice” and once for the same role on the spinoff “Boston Legal.”
This year is especially a nice one for Shat because not only is he being recognized in the dramatic category, his stint on Comedy Central’s roast of Bill (“The Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner”) has also been nominated for an Emmy in the “Outstanding Variety, Music Or Comedy Special” category. While Bill isn’t the direct recipient it was his roast that captured the academy’s attention.
Shat has won one other Emmy in the comedy category when he guest-starred in several episodes as the Big Giant Head on the very funny sitcom “3rd Rock From the Sun.”

How about that! I dodn’t know they awarded an EMMY for ‘Best Over-Acting in a dramatic Series’ No one better to recieve such an honor than the founder and director of the William Shatner School for Over-Acting.

He gets nominated for “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series” for that Denny Crane role, which is mostly comedy, playing himself goofing off…
Michael Hogan as Colonel Tigh on Battlestar Galactica doesn’t even get a nomination for some of the best acting I have ever seen on TV, in some of the best written scenes this year.
Me thinks the Emmy panel isn’t worth craaaaap!
