SFX Man Buys TARDIS Replica

June 27, 2006 By S. K. Sloan 3 Comments

tardisbuySFX’s Advertising Manager, Adrian Hill (pictured standing by his TARDIS), and ex-Editor, Dave Golder, may have started a trend in a bid to become Doctor Who’s biggest fans. The two are now jointly the proud owners of a full-sized officially licensed TARDIS, designed to order. Nice one, lads.

Adrian, who has been with SFX since issue one, says, “I’ve been a Doctor Who fan all my life. This is better than a boring garden shed!”

If you have a burning urge to join them and purchase your very own replica Police Box then THIS PLANET EARTH are the boys to visit. Having been around for ten years, This Planet Earth’s reproductions are so much like the originals there may be some confusion – and if it’s not a TARDIS you’re after then how about a Dalek, K-9, or Cyberman?

The larger items (including the TARDIS) take around eight to 10 weeks to deliver due to their popularity but the wait should be worth it. With this ultimate reproduction you can re-live your favourite episodes, possibly with additional purchases of a brown suit and white trainers. Adrian reports, however, that it doesn’t actually travel in time.

Soon you’ll wonder how you ever lived without one – until you realise that the interior is not infinite in size, and sitting inside for hours may leave you feeling a little claustrophobic. Prices for the TARDIS start at £953 for a half-size replica.
