Mr. Sulu will definitely be returning to the helm in a Star Trek: New Voyages episode directed by STAR TREK veteran Marc Scott Zicree. Marc will share writing duties with Michael Reaves.

In a personal letter addressed to James Cawley, Executive producer and star of New Voyages, George Takei, who has starred as Hikaru Sulu for 40-years, stated that he was very excited to be part of the New Voyages experience, especially after his conversations with old castmate Walter Koenig (Commander Pavel Chekov) who only recently concluded shooting an episode of the ground breaking fan film project.

George ended his letter to Cawley by saying “Together, we will ‘boldly go’ where we have never taken ‘Star Trek’ before.”

The episode entitled “World Enough and Time” is in pre-production with filming beginning this September at the New Voyages New York set.
