British television writer Louis Marks has passed away. He was 82.

Marks wrote several scripts for "Doctor Who" across several eras of the show. He wrote for the first, third and fourth Doctors during the classic series run. Marks' stories were "Planet of the Giants," "Day of the Daleks," "Planet of Evil" and "The Masque of Mandragora."

Kevin McCarthy passed away Saturday according to the Associated Press. McCarthy was 96.

McCarthy's acting career began in the Broadway play "Abe Lincoln in Illinois." The actor appeared in numerous stage and screen roles but is best known for his work in "Body Snatchers."

The son of writer-director Joseph L. Mankiewicz and actress Rosa Stradner, Tom Mankiewicz (pictured, with actor Martin Landau, left, at a 2009 AMPAS event) also left his mark on TV, where he co-wrote and directed the pilot for the husband-and-wife mystery series "Hart to Hart," on which he served as a creative consultant for the show's five-year run.
