Gerard, Probert to Cameo on "New Voyages"

Actor Gil Gerard and designer Andrew Probert recently donned old-school Starfleet uniforms for cameo roles in an upcomign episode of "Star Trek: The New Voyages."

Gerard, best known for his role as Captain William "Buck" Rogers on the popular television series, will play Admiral Jack Sheehan. Sheehan who sends James T. Kirk and the Enterprise on their mission into the Klingon Empire.

Physicist Rolf Hut of Delft University of Technology followed an example put on YouTube by Johnny Chunk Lee to hack a Wiimote and build a wind sesnor.

Maguire Denies "Hobbit" Rumors

Responding to rumors that he'd been cast as Bilbo Baggins in the upcoming Guillermo del Toro directed version of "The Hobbit," actor Toby Maguire say that while he hasn't been cast for the role, he'd still like a part in the movie.

“I have not met with del Toro. We don’t have any near future plans,” Maguire said. “I don’t know if something got misconstrued or miscommunicated but the source was not accurate at all.”

Del Toro Wants Sirkis for Gollum

Warner Home Video will release a Blu-ray box set of the "Rings" trilogy April 6, marking the first time the titles have been released in the HD format. Suggested retail price for the nine-disc set is $99.98.
