Comics writer Steve Orlando talks about WAR WOLF, his new pulp sci-fi limited series project with artist Marco Perugini from Mad Cave Studios.
The story follows a warehouse security guard who accidentally goes from nobody to acclaimed hero of Earth for singlehandedly staving off an alien invasion. But what will happen when the aliens return and expose his great victory as the huge lie it’s always been?
Steve talks about wanting to blend folklore and myths with building a story about the power of truth and the power of lies, the impact that stolen valor can have, and how far the sacrifices made to save others can reach.
He also talks a little about the other titles he works on (Gatchaman, Flash Gordon, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman), and his educational and professional journey to comics writing.
