Monstrous Books publisher James Aquilone and artist Zac Atkinson stop by to talk about a new project that’s a mix of Doctor Who and Ocean’s Eleven: The Omega Eleven. Yes, a magical heist is in the works.

The five-issue series will follow time traveler Doctor Omega as he gathers history’s greatest thieves to travel through time to Camelot and try to pull off an impossible heist: to steal the Philosopher’s Stone from Merlin. All to save the Omniverse.

James talks about getting into publishing with Monstrous Books (following several books with the magazine and now the new comic), being inspired by the public domain pulp heroes, Zac talks about wanting the style and characters to reflect a fun 1980s sensibility, and both talk about hashing out the plot and where to go with the story.

Kickstarter opens February 13: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/manbomb/omega-1
