Graphic novel writer and artist Norm Konyu talks about his newest standalone story, THE SPACE BETWEEN THE TREES, available now from Titan Comics.

Norm talks about finding strange spaces in unexpected wilderness areas and being inspired to tell stories from that space, and a little about how the evolution of communication technology has removed much of the fears founded in old horror movies. He also talks about how the art affects the way some parts of the story are told, and how his work as an animator lends a certain stylistic impression to the work. We also talk about another book that came out earlier this year, DOWNLANDS, and how the lure of folklore and legends inspired that story.

We also talk a little about the differences between comic book releases in Europe and North America; the preference for hardcover graphic novels vs monthly single issues is a big difference.
