Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival program director Daniel Abella stops by to talk about the expansion highlighting this year’s festival, which includes stops in Los Angeles and in Santa Ana to honor PKD himself.
The New York festival also features the remastered “Taking Tiger Mountain Revisited”, which hasn’t been seen in over 30 years and was the screen debut of a teenaged Bill Paxton. This film will screen on Saturday March 9th, and the director will be in attendance. The 1987 James Cameron short film “Martini Ranch’s Reach” will also screen, starring Bill Paxton, Kathryn Bigelow, Lance Henriksen, Paul Reiser, Jenette Goldstein, Judge Reinhold, Brian Thompson, Philip Granger, Scott Thompson, Adrian Pasdar and Bud Cort.
