This week, writer/director Joe Begos (Almost Human) stops by talk about his newest film. The Mind’s Eye made its world premiere at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival and also won the award for Best Director, Horror Feature at the 2015 Fantastic Fest.

We talk about filmmaking in New England in the winter (for him, again), the appeal of using prosthetics and practical effects, and the inspiration behind making a movie about rogue scientists hunting and testing people with out of control telekinetic abilities.

Only a few minor spoilers here, mostly hints at possible topics to explore should the chance for a sequel arise, and alternative ways to tell more stories in that world if sequels don’t come to pass.

Check out The Mind’s Eye, in theaters and on iTunes and VOD on August 5.
