20th Anniversary H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival Celebrating stories from the mythos of the elder gods

Friday October 2 through Sunday October 4, Portland OR will play host to the H.P Lovecraft Film Festival and CthulhuCon.

This year’s film festival features 3 nights of short film showcases, 50 short films from all over the world. They will also feature a screening of Christopher Lee’s last film, Extraordinary Tales, an anthology of animated Poe shorts, plus the 30th Anniversary screening of Re-Animator, with intro and Q&A by guest Jeffrey Combs, and the 10th Anniversary screening of The Call of Cthulhu.

Programming Highlights:

  • 10th Anniversary screening of The Call of Cthulhu – Experience a night at the cinema, 1930s style! (Friday night)
  • Guest of Honor Charles Stross will receive the Howie Award
  • Special Guest Jeffrey Combs joins us for readings and Q&A throughout the weekend
  • Panel Discussions, readings, gaming, and vendors in the EOD Center!
  • Carbload for Cthulhu Author Signing Event on Saturday morning
  • Pickman’s Apprentice Live Drawing Event
  • Cthulhu Prayer Breakfast on Sunday Morning
  • Lovecraft Under the Gun 72 Hour Film Contest screening on Sunday
