Some familiar faces will be returning to aid the new Doctor on his continuing journey throughout space and time. Among those paying a visit (or two) in season 8 are Silurian Madame Vastra played by Neve McIntosh, her human assistant and lover Jenny Flint portrayed by Catrin Stewart and the ever irascible but lovable Sontaran commander Strax (Dan Starkey).
