Emmy Nominations Announced

The nominees for the 65th annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced this morning.   Game of Thrones garnered 16 nods, including best drama series.  FX’s American Horror Story has the most nods.

Netflix’s House of Cards and the relaunched Arrested Development also made history, each garnering several nominations.  Both series choose a non-traditional distribution method and many in Hollywood were wondering how Emmy voters would react.

The full list of nominees  in all the major categories is below.

The Emmys will air Sept. 22 on CBS.
