Syfy Renews “Continuum”

Syfy Renews “Continuum”

March 27, 2013 By News Droid 4 Comments

Good news for fans of U.S. based fans of Continuum.

Syfy will air season two.

The cable outlet renewed the series for its second season yesterday with an order for 13 more episodes.

The sophomore season of Continuum, which airs in Canada on Showcase, will launch June 7 on Syfy.

The first season, which debuted Jan. 14, averaged 1.35 million total viewers on Monday nights.

The second season of Continuum will see Cameron pick up from the rookie-season finale where she fights a ticking clock to prevent a cataclysmic act of terrorism.

Come on! We all know that Syfy didn’t renew Continuum (or Lost Girl), they are just agreeing to air the new, ALREADY RENEWED seasons. Why do they want the extra credit?

BTW, txs to Syfy for bringing good Canadian shows to the old US of A, thus saving a lot of geeks from committing the criminal sin of piracy.

When Syfy first announced that they would be airing Lost Girl season 1 their press release called it a “Syfy Original Series”. They take so much heat from us genre fans that they feel the need to take too much credit sometimes just to make up for it! 🙂

This is the first thing worth watching since the cancellation of SGU; Some actual science fiction. Fortunately they let me watch it on demand so I don’t have to upgrade to Syfy.
