While NBC decided to pass on the Wonder Woman pilot last year, that doesn’t mean the DC superhero’s career on TV is over.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the CW is developing a new Wonder Woman series.
Grey’s Anatomy‘s Allan Heinberg is attached to write Amazon, a pilot that would explore the origin story of Wonder Woman. According to reports, the series will focus on Wonder Woman becoming a hero.
The CW’s Amazon is in the early stages of development and there is no script order attached to the Warner Bros. TV and DC Comics project as of yet.
As long as they don’t turn her into Jack Bauer with boobs like the NBC version, I’ll be happy. Seriously, did you ever see the bootleg of that? She straight up murders a security guard! And the villain? Yeah sorry David Kelley but the antagonist needs to be able to have a description stronger than just “kind of a bitch” to work as a villain in a comic book adaptation!
The description sounds a lot like a female version of Smallville. It’s been done people, and not that long ago.
