DC and Warner Brothers are looking for their version of Joss Whedon.
And they think they may have found it in the form of Ben Affleck.
According to reports, Affleck has been sent a script for the proposed Justice League movie and will meet with studio executives in the next several days to discuss the project. Affleck has been offered high profile projects with the studio in the past, including Man of Steel, though he turned down that project. He’s also been linked to the upcoming trilogy of films based on The Stand.
Now before you rush to the comments to cry foul over this, consider that Affleck has had a solid record as a director on projects like The Town and Gone Baby Gone. He has a good record working on ensemble pieces and that could be the balance that is needed to make a Justice League movie work.
We’ll keep our ears open for more details and bring them to you as they develop.

They don’t seem to understand that Joss Whedon wasn’t the sole reason The Avengers was a huge it. It was a huge part but Joss Whedon had already established characters, plots and movies before he got it. Marvel invested a considerable amount of time and money leading to The Avengers. DC or WB could do the same thing but they seem to be avoiding all the hard work. For them it’s as if one director with name recognition can put them on par with Marvel. They know it can’t because again Marvel has put in the time and effort to build something they want to be proud of.
