While some fans may be clamoring to see Captain Jack Harkness return on Doctor Who, the actor who plays him says he doubts it will happen any time soon.
“Everybody keeps asking me and if I’m offered I would love to. I think it would be great. There is no plan to do that. No one has come forward. I don’t think it’ll happen. I’m always open for it, but who knows?” actor John Barrowman says.
However, that doesn’t mean Barrowman wouldn’t be part of the fiftieth anniversary celebration if he was asked.
“I think it would be great to be involved with the 50th Anniversary, since Jack was such a big part of the Whoworld. But, having said that, nothing’s been said, so I don’t sit and wait,” he says. “I don’t want fans to think that I don’t want to do it because I would love to, but if I’m not asked I’m not going to bang down the door—I’ll just move onto something else.”
Ben Ragunton says
It would personally please me to see Jack back in Who, even if it is for just a single story. Jack was introduced to us in a Moffatt story so I doubt that Stephen would have issues with bringing back Jack back, plus it might be interesting to see Jack interact with the Doctor who would APPEAR younger than Jack himself.
