As Fringe enters its fourth season, producer J.J. Abrams says the series will continue to build on its mythology.
Abrams tells TV Line that the sci-fi drama will not change dramatically in an attempt to attract new viewers.
“It’s kind of doing what the show needs to do to be the best version of the show, as opposed to just the apologists’ stand-alone thing,” he said. “I don’t think Fringe could ever be [that].”
However, he says that his two other new entries to the television landscape, Person of Interest and Alcatraz won’t be as mythology driven and will try to court as large an audience as possible.
