Actress Hannah Murray has signed on for the role of Gilly for the upcoming second season of Game of Thrones.
Gilly is a wildling woman from beyond the Wall that meets Jon Snow and several other members of the Night’s Watch in season two. Fans of the books may recall that she plays a pivotal role as the story progresses.
Murray is a British actress, best known for her work on the hit series Skins.
Also joining Murray in the cast for season two is Karl Davies, who will play Alton Lannister.
Alton is a creation for the TV version and has not appeared in the books.
