A Storm of Swords is coming.
HBO gave the green light to a third season of Game of Thrones yesterday.
“Series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss raised our expectations for the second season – and then surpassed them,” says Michael Lombardo, HBO programming president. “We are thrilled by all the viewer and media support we’ve received for the series, and can’t wait to see what Dan and David have in store for next season.”
The second season is currently airing Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on HBO.
Martin says season 3 will be roughly half of what the Storm of Swords novel was. So season 4 will be the other half. I wonder what they’re going to do with the mash-up novels #4 and #5?
