Smith Wants As Many Doctors As Possible for 50th Anniversary

Smith Wants As Many Doctors As Possible for 50th Anniversary

August 1, 2011 By Mike Hickerson 4 Comments

When Doctor Who celebrates 50 years on television in 2013, actor Matt Smith says he wants as many of the remaining Doctors as possible to join him on-screen for the big event.

“I’d love for it to happen. How amazing would it be to see Tom Baker?! Can you imagine just seeing him back in the scarf, man? That would be amazing! So cool! And Paul McGann is a great actor, man, and a great Doctor. I say bring back Chris and Dave, too! How many Doctors can we get into one story?! Imagine if there were five or six of us in one ep and we could all just look at each other and judge each other,” Smith says.

Of course, we’ve heard that actor Christopher Eccleston has decided he doesn’t want to come back but we’ve got two years to change his mind.

Good Luck, I would like as many as possible as well as the companions.

As long as Tennant is there, I’ll be happy.

You know, Dr Who existed before David Tennant arrived…and it continues on without him. I’d like to see him there, but I’d also like to see as many other available Doctors as possible and that work within the story being told.

It’s not all just about Tennant.

I was NEVER a fan of Eccleston and his take on the Doctor so I wouldn’t miss him in the slightest if he did not show up. However, if his presence would help make the 50th Anniversary even more special then I suppose I can swallow back down what little bit of bile that might creep up into my mouth.
