Following on the heels of Batman: Year One, one of the iconic graphic novels in the entire Batman library and all of comic books is getting the animated treatment.
During the WB Animation panel at the recent San Diego Comic Con, Paul Dini announced that The Dark Knight Returns will be released to home theater next year. According to reports, the project will be a two-movie release instead of just a single-movie one.
No reports yet on who is being lined up to provide voices for the project.
The Dark Knight Returns is one of the most influential graphic novels ever published. It will be interesting to see how this monumental story is adapted for animation.
