Pixar has circled November 27, 2013 on their calendar.
That’s the release date of their next project, Deadline reports. And while we don’t yet know much in the way of details about the project, we can tell you one thing–it won’t be a sequel.
Pixar says that the new movie will be “an original project.”
Of course, that doesn’t mean fans of Pixar will be going without the usual genius the studio dreams up between now and then. We’ll get Cars 2 this week and a prequel to Monsters, Inc. next year.
I forget offhand where I came across it, but somebody linked to a story/image of the main character from that new project — a red-haired scottish lass from medeival times. Looked intriguing, and would be nice to see something original from Pixar after the sequelmania we’re in the midst of (Toy Story 3, Cars 2, then Monster University).
