De Lancie Cast in “Torchwood”

April 18, 2011 By Michael Hickerson 2 Comments

Add another familiar face to the cast list for Torchwood: Miracle Day.

Producer Jane Espenson revealed on Twitter that John De Lancie will play a guest role in the upcoming fourth season.

“I just this minute got permission to tell about the Torchwood guest star I was tweeting about. Two great Sci Fi fandoms collide..lHe’s de licious. He’s de lightful. He’s de lovely…Our friend Q from Star Trek: TNG, John De Lancie, is part of the #Torchwood family!” Espenson writes.

De Lancie joins Bill Pullman, Mekhi Phifer as new additions to the Torchwood (and Doctor Who) universe this season.

De Lancie is best known to genre fans for his work as Q on several Star Trek incarnations.

No word yet on who De Lancie will play in the upcoming season.
