While it’s only a few more days until the latest Christmas special for “Doctor Who,” many fans are starting to get eager for series six.
And, according to actor Matt Smith, there’s a lot to look forward to this year.
The series is finishing up filming in the United States for the first time and Smith says it will add something special to the two-part series premiere.
“I think it’s going to elevate the show and make it grand, epic and vast,” he promised. “It’s just brilliant to see ‘Doctor Who’ in a foreign land. I know we see that every week, but there’s no mistaking [those locations]. This ain’t a set, these are the actual rocks of the Earth, and boy, does it look good for it!”
Smith also praised the story’s villains, created by showrunner Steven Moffat.
“I think Steven may have discovered the best monster since the Weeping Angels in those episodes,” he suggested.
He added that future episodes in the series would contain “a lot of mad twists”.
“I think the forums will be awash with conspiracy theories,” he said. “[The fans] are going to have a lot to talk about.”
