Zygons Return to “Doctor Who”

To celebrate fifty years, the Doctor will face an old foe in the upcoming anniversary special.

The BBC announced today that the Zygons will be back to menace the Doctor and help him celebrate 50 years of travel through space and time.

Featured in the classic Tom Baker story, “Terror of the Zygons” (which is finally getting released on DVD later this year), the  Zygons were shape-shifting monsters who lived under Loch Ness and controlled an alien creature that was mistaken for the Loch Ness Monster.

The original is four-episodes of Doctor Who at its best.  We can’t wait to see them return again later this year.

No word yet on if the Skarassan (aka the Loch Ness Monster) will be back too.
