At long last, the months of waiting for the U.S. release of classic “Doctor Who” serials on DVD is over. Well, at least it will be starting in 2011.
2|Entertain, the company that releases the classic series on DVD, announced this week that they will synchronize releases of the classic series world-wide, starting in 2011.
That means that fans across the world will get the DVDs the same week they’re released in England.
To kick things off, the first release will be a Tom Baker story, the four-part “Meglos.”
No word yet on if or how the U.S. will catch-up on several U.K. releases planned for the rest of 2010, including “The Dominators” and “The Seeds of Death.”
