As Carter didn’t already have enough competition over Allison.

I’m glad to see Stark back though. He made a great foil for Carter to play off of and I think his absence is one of the reasons why last season suffered. Well, that and the “everybody gets laid this season” subplots.

I don’t know, maybe I’m in the minority. I was lukewarm to the reboot, but it kinda grew on me after a few episodes. But the last episode or two have had more of a “soap opera” feel, with all the love triangles (polygons? :-)) than a scifi show. It seemed every scene had characters looking longingly into each others eyes, or someone pining for someone else. Meh.

Not really a spoiler if it’s in every commercial.

I liked the reboot and went from someone who watched the show every once and a while to someone who never misses an episode. And while I really want to see more of Jo and Zane, I could care less if Carter ever hooks up with anyone. Nothing wrong with a little romance in the show I just think they’re going overboard with too many at once.

The only thing that really has disappointed me has been the way they have written Dr. Grant. I think they are wasting James Callis. While I’ve got nothing against the more dramatic way they have written the character, I think when you’ve got someone as natural at comedy as Callis it’s a crime not to use that.

Besides if you take someone from the past and throw them into the future they’re going to have to adjust to all the technology and while they are having him hint at how hard it is for him to adjust they aren’t showing it. Every since they showed his reaction to Andy, I’ve been waiting for a scene with him meeting SARAH…a scene that could be done with humor at his reaction to a “talking house”. Unfortunately, I think they have already moved on beyond his adjustment and are going into the direction of him being discovered.

So be it…still love the reboot though and bringing back Stark should be interesting. Hope Tess stays…I really like her…but it’s looking unlikely.

I have to agree that if Stark is back just for another love triangle or in this case a quadrangle FORGET IT!!!!. I was ok the first time but lets move on arleady. As I said before I like the rebobot but get over the love thing-been there, done that.

As to DR. Grant DO SOMETHING!!!!! He is like a perverted Uncle that is always leering over your should or hanging around. As to Allison invloved with Grant- I hope not-eh.

However, if they only bring back the tesnion between Carter and Startk that woiuld be great but since it was over Allison for the most part I am hopeful but doubtful. I still love it though for now————

I’m really happy that they are using the timeline change to its fullest! Zoe and Zane, Fargo head of GD, etc., plus the little surprise at the end of the last episode that tied it all back to a first season regular, and of course you KNEW that Stark would have to come back somehow. He’s just too good a character to leave gone for long.

But I do hope that they let Carter and Allison have a romance! Eureka isn’t like Moonlighting – just because the leads are involved doesn’t mean that the story is gone. The stories will, or at least should, always be about the crazy science gone wrong, and how folks have to combine their knowledge, expertise and guts to fix it!
I love Carter, and hope he gets a little happiness once in a while – he works hard enough to deserve it!

everyone’s assuming that stark coming back will create a semi-permanent love triangle, but there’s no real evidence that this is going to be anything long term. In fact, it would be a great expectational upset if it was a 1-episode thing where alison confronts the issue and actually ends up deciding affirmatively that she wants to be with Carter – not only avoiding the stark addition, but getting rid of the Grant part of the love triangle too.

After watching the latest episode all I can say is that if they reboot this reboot I will stop watching Eureka. The reboot has been the best thing to ever happen to this show, to even hint at a reset just makes my blood boil.
