Space Pirates? *sigh* Fine. So far, I’m liking the show, so I won’t gripe too much.

The Lucien Alliance was first introduced in the Stargate verse in Stargate-SG1.

    See this SG wiki definition:

Sam, I was thinking the same thing about The Lucien Alliance being in SG1. Now, I’m really confused because whats next, the Destiny gets crashes on an island somewhere?

Sounds to me they were listening too much to the anti SGU people and are trying to bring in elements from SG1, although I hope I am wrong. They had one great success and 1 mediocre (SGA) so let’s see where the 3rd attempt takes us. So far it is all right, not great, not horrible and definitely better than a lot of the other crap they try to feed us.

I like Knepper as an Actor but don’t like the idea of Human Space Pirates that far out. Once again my worst fear is making the show like the other more campy shows and it takes the wind out of the sails of them being farther away than any other humans.

I don’t know how they’re gonna get anyone from the Lucian Alliance into the Destiny’s part of space, but Robert Knepper is playing a bad guy in a show I’m loving and therefore I’m excited. He was brilliant in Prison Break and easily the best thing about Heroes volume 5.

Wasn’t the Lucian Alliance already in the “SGU” premiere? Weren’t they the ones attacking Icarus Base? Or maybe it was just Colonel Carter who thought it was. Regardless, the Lucian Alliance was at least mentioned on the series already, so stop making it sound like they’re just pulling it out of nowhere.

I think this is great news and I think Robert Knepper will make a great “space pirate”.

I don’t think the problem is that they are coming into the show. Rather, the problem is that they’re soooo far away from Eart, before even this “seeding ship” got there.

If you’ve seen the trailer for the second half of the season (the one that shows the aliens), then you already know how they’re going to work the Lucian Alliance into the show.

oooh, well maybe they do have an in if it was the Lucien Alliance attacking the Icarus base because someone tipped the bad guys off about the base and there was a suggestion that there was a traitor in the midst. I just don’t know what kind of ‘splainin they would do for how they got out there. The mention of who was attacking the base when by so fast I didn’t even remember who it was.

That’s what I thought too … until I saw the trailer.

As has been observed, this is not Robert Knepper’s first foray into sci-fi… I remember him back in 1987 as Deanna Troi’s betrothed, Wyatt Miller, from the ST:TNG episode “Haven.”

Robert Knepper was also in the “Star Trek: Voyager” episode “Dragon’s Teeth”. So, that makes two “Star Trek” appearances for him.

Not me. Rush is one of my favorite characters. Now if only they could kill off Colonel Young and Lt. Scott …
