At the world premiere of Warner Bros.’ “The Good German” in Hollywood, veteran actor Beau Bridges (Maj. Gen. Hank Landry) revealed some already known info about the future of sci-fi series “Stargate SG-1.”
“They’re talking about doing a couple of movies. I haven’t actually signed on the dotted line, but there is talk about it,” he told ComingSoon.net in a red carpet interview.
Because he has yet to commit, Bridges’ access to the movie script is limited, however he believes the Series Finale episode will wrap up leading into the films, and thinks that the scripts are fully completed.
“Yes, I think they must be. Yes,” commented Beau.
As far as what’s coming up on the show’s final 10-episodes before closing shop for good on the SCI FI Channel, Beau revealed that, “You’ve got the dreaded Ori out there still attacking. There’s a fun episode where I’m taking a bunch of people up to my mountain cabin for a little R & R and we’re stuck out there alone with the Colonel and he’s all upset. It’s a good series… I think what sets Stargate SG-1 apart from other sci-fi series is the sense of humor. It makes people laugh and that combined with the regular sci-fi normal stuff works.”
Beau Bridges stars with George Clooney, Tobey McGuire and Cate Blanchett in the must-see film “The Good German” when it opens in select cities on December 15th and nationwide on January 19, 2007. “Stargate SG-1” will return for its good-byes in April 2007.
