Actress Brittany Murphy has passed away at the age of 32.
Murphy, who rose to fame for her work in “Clueless” and “8 Mile,” apparently collapsed in the bathroom and that the cause of death “appears to be natural” according to assistant chief coroner for L.A. County, Ed Winter.
Murphy may be best known to genre fans for her work in “Sin City” as Shellie. She also lent her voice to “Happy Feet.” She was also the voice of Luann on “King of the Hill” and did a guest-role on the “Futurama” DVD release, “The Beast With a Billion Backs.”
Murphy also had a supporting role in the dark Holocaust fantasy “The Devil’s Arithmetic”, based on the novel. And she found herself among a veritable roster of genre veterans in director Joshua Michael Stern’s fantasy film “Neverwas”, alongside Aaron Eckhart, Ian McKellen, Jessica Lange, William Hurt and Alan Cumming.
