With no new “Doctor Who” on the horizon and the David Tennant era coming to a close at the end of 2009, rumors are swirlling as to who may guest-star in the upcoming specials.
The latest rumor, reported by Outpost Gallifrey, is that one of the men who brought James Bond to life may step in for a guest-role in the final episodes of Tennant’s tenure. Rumor has it that Timothy Dalton may join the cast for the two-part end of an era.
Other casting rumors include actress Clair Bloom as the Doctor’s mother. There have been confirmed on-set sightings of several recurring cast members returning including John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness and John Simm.
Of course, these are only rumors until something official is confirmed.
And again, I say it–the Stephan Moffatt era cannot begin soon enough….
