“Sarah Connor” Producer Talks Season Finale

March 3, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 1 Comment

Unless a miracle happens, it’s looking more and more likely that the season finale of “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” will also serve as the series finale for the sophomore series.

During last weekend’s WonderCon, producer Josh Friedman said he wrote the season finale to bring a sense of closure to the show, but that he’s leaving the door open to a possible third season.

“Either way, I’d be doing a disservice if I didn’t try to write something. I mean, I’m an optimistic guy, and all I can try to do is write for success, you know?” Friedman said. “[If] the show doesn’t come back, people are going to be upset regardless of what that episode looks like. … All I can say is the episode answers a lot of the questions that people have been asking for the last 30 episodes. So, I mean, and it asks some new ones, but I can’t, you know, that’s just me. So, but I think a lot of that stuff that people have been wondering about, we will solve.”

Whether or not the series gets a third-season will depend on Fox.  However, the current buzz is that the low-ratings may be the end of the series.   However, the series has had negative buzz before and survived.  It’s also widely thought that Fox will allow the season to finish out and not pull the series.

But this is Fox, so you never really know….

If Fox was smart, they’d take advantage of the whole time-shift thing happening more and more with TV viewers. Apparently they’re NOT smart (no big surprise there) and they’re canceling SCC.
I’m hoping the hammer doesn’t also fall on Dollhouse, but since I read this morning that ABC is cancelling the wonderful “Life on Mars” (yeah, i know. sucks don’t it?), I wouldn’t be surprised.
