Final “BSG” Schedule Announced

February 17, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 9 Comments

The end is near for “Battlestar Galactica.” And while we can’t tell you anything about how the series will end dramatically, we can tell you schedule-wise who the final chapters of the series will unfold.

According to SyFy Portal, the series will continue to air in its Friday at 10 p.m. EST time slot for the next several weeks, culminating on Friday, March 14. That evening, the first of the three-part series finale will air.

Then, on Friday, March 20th, the final episodes will air on SciFi. The evening will kick-off at 8 p.m. EST with a repeat of part one of the finale, followed by the final two episodes of the series. So, if fans want to watch the entire finale as one three-hour epic, they can do that.

SciFi is expecting larger than average viewing audiences for the finale of the series.

No word yet on how this schedule might conflict with Fox’s Friday night sci-fi line-up (specifically if fans will be forced to choose between a new episode of “Dollhouse” and the finale of “BSG.”)

Dollhouse is on FOX, which means you’re assuming they wouldn’t have canceled it by then for American Idol reruns. ;D

Oh, Please! Give me a break.
    VHS, Tivo, DVR, BT Airlines…
WHO is going to be forced to “choose” between what to watch?
And as many households there are in this country with a TV in each and every room in the house, there is no more “choosing” what to watch.
If people want to, they can watch Dollhouse AND BSG’s special ending broadcasts.
If they’re BSG fans, there will be no choosing. If they’re THAT into Dollhouse by the time BSG is winding up, then they’ll watch Dollhouse and catch BSG later.
Only the networks really care about what gets watched immediately. And that’s only because of the advertisers’ outmoded system.

That’s a no-brainer for me! Sorry to say it, but Dollhouse sucked. I definitely won’t be watching any future episodes.

That should be Friday, March 13. Not 14. That’s a Saturday.

If the Fox people are smart they’ll put on a rerun. Or better yet, just put up a screen with, “We’re all over on SciFi watching Battlestar. Be back next week!” There is NO choice between the final BSG episodes and Dollhouse!

To be fair after I watch a show, I go back and watch only the commercials.

People do know that Sci-Fi shows BSG twice every Friday, right? So, technically, someone who doesn’t have DVR or TiVo could watch both BSG and “Dollhouse”.

As someone who never got into BSG, and who never watches shows live, this Friday I will be watching Body of Lies or Righteous Kill . . . or Bones, or Life, or Leverage, or Lie to Me, or Burn Notice.

I’ll be watching the season finales of “Monk” and “Psych” this Friday.

Oh, and BSG, “Numb3rs”, and “Terminator”.
