Author J.K. Rowling, creator of the magical Harry Potter series, has been named Entertainment Weekly’s (EW) “Entertainer of the Year.”
Rowling has sold over 400 million copies of the novels showcasing the career of the young boy-wizard, which also forged movies for each edition. The last two films are coming soon.
Others getting the nod from EW were George Clooney for his contributions as an actor, director and activist, Will Smith, Angelina Jolie, Tina Fey and the full cast of “The Sopranos.”
Matt Damon made the list of most popular, as did Carrie Underwood, Katherine Heigl, Johnny Depp and Kanye West. Actress/singer Vanessa Williams made the cut, as did director Judd Apatow, Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd.
The prodigies list included Zac Efron, Shia LaBeouf, Rihanna and Miley Cyrus.
Amy Winehouse, Gerard Butler, Tyler Perry and the A&E series “Mad Men” were named the magazine’s most buzz-worthy.
