New screen-accurate Artisan Dog Tags with your name on them!
Quantum Mechanix Inc. (QMx), a privately held developer of licensed, high-quality entertainment replicas, today announced Battlestar Galactica Artisan Dog Tags, engraved with the name of your choice.
“When we announced the Battlestar Galactica Character Dog Tags, we got a lot of mail, almost all of it with one comment: ‘Dog tags are nice, but I want a set with my name on them’,” said QMx Marketing Director Andy Gore, who was also project manager for the Artisan Dog Tags.
“Typically, doing custom anything is very challenging,” Gore continued. “But when our customers ask for something, we like to do our best to deliver.”
That’s when QMx approached development partner The FX Company, experts in the crafting of professional quality filming miniatures and props for the studios. “The FX Company helped us figure out a way to make customized dog tags that are just amazingly detailed and great quality, but are still affordable,” said Steve Dymszo, president of QMx. “I mean, when you hold these things, they’ve got substance. They feel good in your hands.”
Each Artisan Dog Tags set include two tags made of antique brass with a protective coating, measuring 1.1562″ wide by 1.3125″ tall by 0.0937″ thick – exactly the same size as the screen-used tags from Battlestar Galactica. The phoenix emblem, lettering size and style are also taken directly from the screen-used prop.
Each set includes a 24″ brass chain and comes inside a natural muslin bag stored inside an aluminum case that’s 3.9″ long by 2.5″ wide and 0.9″ tall. Both the bag and case have the Battlestar Galactica emblem silkscreened on them.
Personalized tags will come with matching six-digit serial numbers that are unique to each set. And they will have the first initial and last name of the customer’s choice, up to a maximum of 20 characters, including a required period and space.
Each personalized Artisan Dog Tag set costs just $49. As dog tag sets are made-to-order, please allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.
