It’s been at least ten minutes since I reported any “Doctor Who” news, so here we go….
One tid-bit of news that came out of Comic-Con–there will be a “Doctor Who” comic book launched in 2008. It will feature the Doctor and Martha, take place during the latter half of series three (season 29 for you purists) and it will be considered canon. The stories will be written by Big Finish’s Gary Russell (who you can hear as the moderator on some of the Hartnell DVD commentaries).
The good Doctor will get his own video-game later this year. The game will be produced by Eidos who hopes to have it in stores for the holiday season this year. This wouldn’t be the first time the Doctor has had his own video-game. He featured in “Dalek Attack” and a CD-Rom game that involved defeating the Master and various other assorted baddies in the mid-90s. And how can we forget the infamous “Dalek” game from the early days of shareware?
In some other Who related news —
“Torchwood” will air on HD-net in the United States starting in September. Producer Julie Gardner talked to iF Magazine about series two of “Torchwood” and series four of “Doctor Who.” In the interview, Gardner hinted that she can’t see executive-producer Russell T. Davies leaving after series four. Davies has not signed a contract for beyond series four and there is speculation he could step down as producer after the next series. Davies return could be good news, but let’s not forget what can happen if a producer stays too long with the show (John Nathan-Turner, anyone?)

By the way, every spelling error I do is deliberate. Do not complain as they are to be considered jokkes..
