“Doctor Who” Regeneration Animated

“Doctor Who” Regeneration Animated

March 7, 2013 By Ben Ragunton Leave a Comment

With the recent announcement that the famous, final Doctor Who story with William Hartnell, “The Tenth Planet”, was to have its missing segments animated, Planet 55 Studios, the company behind the animation segments, went ahead and actually animated the regeneration sequence from the final part, which had been the only surviving segment of that lost, fourth episode.

The DVD, which is scheduled to be released late in 2013, follows what has been two years worth of work on the story. The regeneration sequence was given a preview in front of a group of fans in Australia, but you can see the scene for yourself here.

Do you like what you see? Are you happy that the entire sequence was animated, or do you feel that to be true to the episode the studio needed to keep the last scene was it was originally filmed? Let us know!!!
