The role of a lifetime, the part that made petite Linda Hamilton a buff, hell-bent, kick-ass suburban mom has a new face. Lena Headey (The Brothers Grimm, The Cave) has been tapped to play Ms. Connor in Fox’s new “The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” which is based on the mythology of the Terminator films.
In this made-for-TV anthology series, Headey will be with her one-day famous son, John Connor, the man who saves future humanity against the human created machines who later develop into killers known as Terminators. Heady has some pretty big shoes to fill since Hamilton literally owns that role in the mind of most fans. It will be interesting to see viewer’s response to her take on the character in this small screen look at her life on-the-run between movies I & II.
The pilot episode, to be aired for the 2007 season, will be written by Josh Friedman, with David Nutter set to direct.

does anyone else think this is gonna be terrible? for me…. as much as i love scifi, i was very disapointed with T3, and i don’t see this going very far. But who knows, we’ll soon find out.
