With Veronica Mars coming back thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, many of our favorite series that were cut down in their prime are taking a look at the model and seeing if could work for them.
So far, it appears that we could see more Pushing Daisies and Chuck using the Kickstarter model.
On the negative side, Joss Whedon has shot down a Firefly reunion.
That may leave you wondering, what about Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles? After all, the series did end on one heck of a cliffhanger.
The show seems like one that is ripe for a Kickstarter revival. And while series producer Josh Friedman says he’s been hit from all sides with requests and questions about reviving the show this way, he doesn’t see crowd sourcing as an option for the series.
Friedman says that Mars is a very different business model from Sarah Connor and that while he thanks fans for their enthusiasm, starting it up again probably won’t happen.
“All u asking about a TSCC kickstarter…rights situation, budget necessities, motivation of corporate entities make it HIGHLY unlikely,” he Tweets.

Total shame…that cliffhanger had the most potential for the series since it’s debut. I was all ready for an alternate reality John Connor who sided with the machines or became a cyborg himself.
