Swanson Puffers Up

June 9, 2006 By Kyle Nin 1 Comment

Kristy Swanson, the original Buffy in the movie “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” ain’t no Buffy in the new blood and guts horror film, “Living Death.”

Swanson plays a woman who is married to an ultra-rich guy (Greg Bryk). She wants his money and the only way to get it is to kill the guy off. So she and her husband’s lawyer (the man she is having an affair with) conspire to do him in. To make it look like natural death they decide to poison him using a puffer fish which is similar to a blowfish.

“What it does is it paralyzes your body for about three days, until your body basically expires,” Swanson said. “So he’s dead, but he still can hear everything and see everything. His eyes are open. The police want to do an autopsy, although in his will he’s requested not to be autopsied. They perform this autopsy on him while he’s still alive, but they don’t know it. And he ends up coming back and tries to kill me.”

The film has just completed shooting. If you can’t wait to see Kristy before “Living Death” comes to your local theaters, you can catch her on the small screen in the SCI-FI Channel’s upcoming original movie “Black Hole,” which premieres tomorrow night, June 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
