I just have one comment. Could someone please check the prophecies? I’m almost positive this is one of the signs of the end time!

Umm, Hmmm…
I sure hope they don’t go the route G4TV went… That channel is so boring…

This is the single stupidest statement of the year so far. Beats anything Dubya’s said this year by a longshot.

As a fan of wrestling I am glad to see the return of ECW to TV.
BUT!
ECW and SCIFI go together like peanut butter and barbed wire.
I’m unsure why they just didn’t put ECW on USA. I’m sure after it all sinks in we will find out why SCIFI.
I’m starting to wonder on the future of SciFi. They had on “Law And Order” on the other day.
(and yes G4 is horrible, I miss TechTV)
Brad says
Holy shades of Tech TV/G4 Batman!

This reminds me of when Wizard Entertainment decided that Comic Book Fans liked pro wrestling too and put this huge wrestling area in the Chicago Comicon.
It blocked traffic and the only crowds around it were trying to just get past it. (They tried “Extreme Sports” like skateboarding a different year, which also failed.)
Thankfully they don’t do that anymore. It has been replaced with an expanded artist’s alley, which seems to get lots of interested traffic. After all, isn’t that why people are there?
(…but if they insist on going through with it, hopefully it will be like Kaiju Big Battle – http://www.kaiju.com/ …)

….Instead of picking up Surface???

Instead of picking up Surface…and Invasion…and Night Stalker…?
Is this what Zappa was talking about in the song “Cocain Decisions”?
Sheesh.

I bet it is on Saturday nights. I think they have different people running that network on the weekend.
“Our great sci-fi Saturday movies are going to follow wrestling. A perfect match.”
Davehill says
Let me point out the number of wrestlers in various scifi movies (The Rock, Trple H, even Hulk Hogan)
Angelslave says
Would it be possible to get someone to head the SCIFI channel that LIKED Sci Fi at all?

I am a fan of both wrestling and sci fi and most of you probably never seen ECW and just knock it cause it is wrestling, watch it first then knock it on the 14th if you want.

I thought that deterioration to the snake, bug, vampire channel was bad enough but this is worse. It is more view time I won’t be there.
Scifidad2003 says
What’s next sex infomercials at three in the afternoon on the cartoon network???????
They need to pick up Surface, ST:VOY, ST:ENT and any other true SCIFI shows.
Scifidad2003 says
Ifyou think about it those wrestlers that starred in movies haven’t been heard from in recent years, except the Rock, but we know what happened with his last movie.
Mark in NY says
I’ve never seen someone put holes in their head with a power drill, but common sense tells me I’d not enjoy it if I did. Ditto for anything related to NASCAR, wrestling, and hanging out in trailer parks–all related activities in my mind.

So, how many of you emailed the scifi channel to voice your displeasure over the dilution of programming with the likes of wrestling?
Reading many of your comments is reassuring that there are like-minded scifi fans out there, but its preaching to the choir if the right people aren’t hearing you.
