Star Trek alum Michael Mack is joining the cast of what is becoming the superstar of fan films, “Star Trek: New Voyages.”
Mack has set a couple of firsts within the Star Trek franchise. He was the first ever black Romulan, playing Commander Sirol on “STAR TREK: The Next Generation,” and he was the first writer intern to move from behind the camera to the front of it.
Not limited to the Star Trek universe, Mack has had appearances in “Outerworld,” the HBO hit “The Wire,” “The West Wing,” “Ladder 49” opposite John Travolta and Joaquin Phoenix, and the award winning soap opera “The Young and the Restless.” He also has done some major voice work in three of the Elder Scrolls vids, including the next major release “Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.”
He donates his time to helping the homeless and at-risk incarcerated youth through the New Creation Theatre, of which he is founder and executive director. And, in the midst of all this he still finds time to work as an acting coach.
When interviewed about his move into fanfilms, and particulary a Star Trek film he said, “I am honored to be part of Star Trek: New Voyages.” Michael will star in a recurring role on the fan series by the name of Dr. M’Benga.
